Chose here your repeating option when "Meter (m)" is selected.

REPEATING LAYOUTS are tile designs, and are created for continuous printing. They have a repeating pattern so the left side and the top side of the design join smoothly with the right and bottom side of the design. Repeating layouts are ordered in continuous meter prints (reference meters printing).

  • Standard repeat: every tile design is placed against the other and they join smoothly.
  • Half drop: the pattern is repeated just below the first pattern, but in the second column it is now centered between the patterns of the first column.
  • Half brick: the pattern is repeated next to the first pattern, but in the second row it is centered between the patterns of the first row.
  • Mirror: The tile design is mirrored against the other.

Ordering meter prints:
Tile designs are printed continuously. They have a repeating pattern so the left side and the top side of the design join smoothly with the right and bottom side of the design. The repeating pattern can be (see Layout option):

Standard repeat: every tile design is placed against the other and they join smoothly.
Half drop: the pattern is repeated just below the first pattern, but in the second column it is now centered between the patterns of the first column.
Half brick: the pattern is repeated next to the first pattern, but in the second row it is centered between the patterns of the first row.
Mirror: The tile design is mirrored against the other.

Ordering Units printing:
A scarf, a pillowcase, a dress, etc. all of these designs are printed in individual pieces. For example, when you select units, you can order 3 pieces of a 120 x 120 cm scarf.
The minimum order is 1 meter or the equivalent in individual units.

Panel size (m):

Unfortunately we are unable to print non-stop prints longer than 5 meters. Every order above 6 meter should be divided in at least 2 patches. So an order of 12 m can be devided 3 patches of 4 meter.
Fill in the minimum size of the panel.

Sell your designs and earn Design Euro's:

When can you start selling a design in the shop?
Only designs that you have created and that you own can be sold. Also, the design must be sampled (on an A3/A4 sample or by ordering at least a one meter print). The sample must be approved before you can sell it in the shop. Obviously, you should test the design yourself before you start selling it.

You can put your designs in the shop 2 weeks after the new print has been shipped. This gives you the time to check and adjust the repeating pattern and colors. Mistakes can be adjusted by revising the designs section in your personal settings (Upload revision).

How to add a design to the shop?
Put the "Make for sale" dropdown to "Yes".
Make sure that the information (name, basic colors, tags,...) on the design description page is correct. Confirm by clicking "save design settings".
Whenever someone buys prints with your design, you will receive a 10% commission. You will be notified by Email when your design is sold. Check the status of your commissions in your personal account settings.

Selling your design to fashion houses:

Design On Textile is a division of Digitex. Digitex is a Belgian textile printing company that produces for European fashion houses. These fashion houses seek new and original designs for their collections. Once they have shown interest in your design, you can make a contract with them and sell your design.
Designs are sold to fashion houses for €300. Once sold, the design is owned by the fashion house and must be removed from the shop. A few months later, you might see this design in shops and fashions shows.

To sell your design to fashion houses set the "Make for sale - professional" dropdown to "Yes".

If you check this box, your design will be presented to (international)fashion houses. We will put you in contact whenever they want to buy your design.

The correlation between resolution and the size of your print.

All files are printed at a file resolution of 150 DPI (1/1). The preview in the design view page (2nd step during the file upload) will show the size of your file at 150 DPI.

If your file has a higher resolution, you will see that the size of your design will be too big. Simply reduce the size of your file in a picture editing program, or on the website www.picresize.com

If your file has a lower resolution, you will see that the size is reduced to achieve 150 DPI. What should you do?
- if your design is a picture that was taken with a digital camera, it would be best to retake the picture in a better quality setting or to use a higher quality camera.
- if your design is a scan of a drawing or a painting then rescan the picture at a higher resolution
- if your design has been made in a graphic editing program (Photoshop, GIMP,...) then adjust the resolution in the editing program. Verify that you will not have pixelation at print size (low resolution image).
